Fitness Instructors

Lorraine- In her years of experience as a fitness club owner, fitness, dance and aquasize instructor, Lorraine has found that one of the most important parts of any fitness/dance operation is genuinely caring for the clientele she and her instructors serve. She and her instructors want participants to see results, to have fun, and to live a healthy lifestyle. Lorraine and her instructors are certified and qualified in everything from fitness training, aquasize, dance, weight training, bootcamps and specialized populations (eg. arthritis, fibromyalgia, cancer, hip replacements, etc). Lorraine herself, is an Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Associaton Member (AFLCA) Assistant Trainer and also certified through the Diet Centre to help clients with their nutritional goals. So for a positive experience in fitness or dance - ages 4-94 years-checkout the Fitness Connection (Adult Group Fitness and Bootcamp classes) or Dance Connection (Children and Adult classes) See you in class!

Lauren- Lauren has been teaching fitness classes for 20 years. She has her B of E, CPR, Accelerated Sports Performance and various other courses. She enjoys teaching boot camp and kickboxing classes. When Lauren isn't teaching she is very involved with her kids, horses, and she also has a love of all sports.

Pat- Pat is no stranger to fitness. She has a great following in both dryland and aquasize classes. Her direction of exercises and technique is excellent and people appreciate her knowledge of muscle work.

Megan- Megan is not new to the fitness industry. She has her AFLCA Group Fitness and Aquasize Certification. She loves to teach boot camp, power jam....everything! Something you may not know about Megan--she has played basketball and volleyball competitively for 7 years, she played Team Alberta Basketball!

Bonnie- Bonnie is a life long fitness participant. She is the Director of the Mad Hatters' Running Club, she has her level one coaching, and her AFLCA weight training. Bonnie has been teaching fitness classes for about 8 years. She enjoys teaching weight training, heiden, and learning to run. Bonnie has ran 3 ultra marathons, 5 marathons, and several half marathons!

Krista- Krista was brought up in a very active and nutrition conscious family. At the age of fifteen, her mom got her a gym membership and she has not looked back since. Fitness has always been her second love. When she graduated from high school and was faced with the decision of choosing a career, she debated between fitness and design and chose design. After taking a short break after having her son, Krista started taking group classes instead of working out solo. She fell in love with the energy that the instructors brought and thought that she could also bring that kind of energy. She is a designer as well as a dancer, Krista loves to get creative with her classes-figuring out new ways to combine moves together and maximize her workouts! Despite all of that- Krista still perfers cardio and the energy that it brings-her favorite classes to teach are hard cardio-lots if skipping and jacks!

Jennifer- Jenn has been conquering her own personal weight loss goals over the past 3 years. She has lost over 100lbs and counting. This has tweeked a strong interest and fasination in fitness and nutrition. Through constant education and determination, Jenn is getting closer to her goal and wanting to share with others so they can too succeed. Jenn is a former bootcamp participant who decided to venture to instructing, she enjoys teaching cardio kickbox, circuit training and the overall knowledge of fitness and nutrition.

Danielle- Danielle has been active in competitive sports starting at a young age. Good luck keeping this girl in one place for too long. Danielle really enjoys learing and living a healthier lifestyle while looking for new fitness and nutrition ideas to share with the group. She loves the energy brought from Group fitness and likes to help push themselves to the LIMIT!

Mavis- Mavis began teaching after the age of 40, so a few years now! She has always been active and has always played sports. Competitive baseball, soccer, golf and downhill sking. She was interested in learning more about muscle movements and fitness for her own workouts and it progressed from there. Mavis loves seeing the positive changes in the people that she teaches and the changes in their fitness level. From them saying "I can't do it" to "Wow, I can't beleive I just did that!". Mavis loves motivating people to reach their fitness goals whether it is for weight loss or increasing their fitness levels.

Karen-Karen is our newest fitness instructor, but she is not new to fitness. She has been an winning member of our Bikini Bootcamp.

Our Dance Instructors

Lorraine-She has taught Ladies Hip Hop, Latino Ladies, African, all levels of Belly Dance (including our troupe Raks-A-Habibi), and most recently has become a Certified Zumba Instructor. She has taught dance classes since 1997.

Krista- Krista has been belly dancing since September, 2003. She teaches our Belly Dance Level 3. She has been an instructor since 2006.

Lindsay- Lindsay has been belly dancing since September, 2003. She is our Belly Dance Level 2 Instructor. She has been teaching since 2006

Charley- Charley teaches Belly Dance Level 1, in both Ralston and Medicine Hat. She has been an instructor since 2006.

Rhonda- Rhonda has been belly dancing since January, 2003. She started teaching in the fall of 2007. She has enjoyed teaching Belly Dance Level 1, Twist & Shout, and Baby Bellies and Bella Dance. In the fall of 2008 Rhonda was excited to become a certified Zumba Fitness Instructor teaching both Zumba Fitness and Zumba Kids classes.

Jennifer-Our Poleworks instructor. She has been teaching since 2008.

.Jennifer D- Jennifer took a Latino Ladies class with her younger sister as a bonding exercise in 2008. Jennifer fell in love with the classes and competed against her sister in the first Dance Bootcamp where they tied to win. In the spring of 2010 Jennifer got her certification in Zumba and began to teach right away in the summer. Jennifer is inspired by the idea of exercise in disguise and beleive that the secret to good health is making fitness fun for all shapes and sizes and ages.

Susan- Susan became a certified Zumba Instructor in the Spring of 2010.

Krista G- Krista has began teaching our Koyote Ugly Line-dance class in the Fall of 2010. She has recently work our Bollywood Instructor to start teaching Bollywood.

Our Aquasize Instructors

Lorraine- Lorraine and her instructors want participants to see results, to have fun, and to live a healthy lifestyle. Lorraine and her instructors are certified and qualified in everything including specialized populations (eg. arthritis, fibromyalgia, cancer, hip replacements, etc). Aquasize is for anyone 18 yrs. of age and older. We have begineer to advanced classes and I am sure after you take our classes you will agree aquasize is a great non impact workout!

Maureen-Maureen has been teaching aquasize for over 5 years. She specializes in classes for those who are injured, recovering, or have mobility issues.

Megan- Megan loves the fitness industry. She has her AFLCA Group Fitness and Aquasize Certification. Something you may not know about Megan--she has played basketball and volleyball competitively for 7 years, she played Team Alberta Basketball!

Tracey- Tracey has just started teaching Aquasize this spring, but she has been enjoying taking our classes for years.
